The towels and bedding are new yet the rooms are tired. The new owners say they are renovating. They painted the building and room doors are a new color. However they just glopped new paint over old and you can see the prior removed room number plate. Also the door bottoms look rotted and they just installed a metal plate at the bottom. The plan is a boutique accommodation. Well they have a long way to go. The area around the lodge is sketchy.

This is a fairly basic motel but perfectly fine, clean and comfortable, in an unbeatable location downtown. Rooms are set back a bit from the street so they stay quiet. The parking is enclosed and seems very secure. For me the biggest drawback was loud and fairly ineffective air-conditioning (although it did work). I would definitely stay again.

Graduation day at university stay over. Expensive for what you get. No frills of any kind. Very spartan and cheap. However, people checking you in were nice, room was very clean. This is what happens when you wait too long to reserve a room.,

The property was situated not too far from the University. However, we could not hear any noises around the area. We slept very well for both nights. We will come back and stay at this place again.

It’s a little “Schitts Creek-ish”, clean & safe, but dark/dated furnishing/decor. With the new SantaFe facility opening, I imagine the neighborhood will improve. walked to great restaurants , but not alone nor after dark. Soon this place will be updated & twice the room rate.
