Great location.
Great location, but a bit noisy at night time because of the (great) location. Over all, I would give 5* and would return there in the future.

I did not like the new staff did not know me and did not give me the VIP status I have received for years from the Hotel. My husband and I have been using that hotel since it was called Calinda Veracruz before it changed to Veracruz Centro Historico and that has been over 20 years. We did not get the nice VIP treatment I am used to with free complimentary drinks at the restaurant and late check out at 3 pm. There was no safe in the room and I requested one. They brought one in, but any one could have made away with it as it was not bolted down to the closet. Also the AC made an awful sound when turned up and we could not get much sleep because of it.

My room was very clean and the A/C worked great. It is not a brand new hotel so don’t expect luxury but it’s very comfortable and close to center square walking 2 minutes. Not much to see in town only stayed for 1 night and saw it all no more time needed. I travelled through Veracruz by bus and only stayed at this location to see the port I recommend that you go to a different town don’t waste your time here. I do recommend the hotel if you need one.

Staff was less than courteous and welcoming with the exception of the bell boys. The air conditioner did not work or cool enough and the room was not clean. The hotel in all is a piece of history that has been left to slowly deteriorate. The pool was clean and the space around was acceptable.
