"We usually stay at the Bridge Inn but needed to be near family in an arbnb. The room was lovely, comfy bed next time I would request a room at the back of the hotel as we needed the window open in this heat and the traffic, although not heavy did disturb us. The breakfast was fabulous, quality ingredients. We sat in the lovely conservatory. The hotel is perfectly situated for the village. Will definitely stay again."

"The whole experience was amazing, all of staff where brilliant and relaxed. The food for breakfast was exactly what you wanted, the room was clean and big enough for 4 and the hot tub was clean, warm and natural. I cannot imagine us not going back."

"Hotel as described. 10 minutes walk into Grasmere. Free parking, although I doubt enough if hotel at capacity. Bus stop outside. Breakfast was nice & plenty of options. We had dinner one evening and it was good & good value. Dog friendly, in fact Luna felt bery welcome! We decline one days room clean in exchange for a couple of free drinks, that was a nice idea and encoraged reuse of towels etc All in all great stay"

"Amazing all round. Big bedroom with great views, amazing food in the restaurant, kind and helpful staff, and the spa was incredible after a day of browsing the local towns and some walks around the lakes. Perfect central location too as a base for our trip, with easy access south to Ambleside and Windermere or north to Keswick and across towards buttermere. A luxurious stay that made our trip complete."

"This is a hidden gem hiding behind a very unassuming facade. The position on the estuary is beautiful with no traffic, very quiet and peaceful. The hotel has been nicely renovated and the food above average."
