- Metropolitan Mall


The largest shopping mall in Bekasi is home to over 200 shops spread across two buildings, Metropolitan Mall 1 and 2. Mall 2 is the newer of the two and houses Matahari Department Store and an entertainment centre complete with a karaoke lounge, billiards, an arcade and a large cinema. The Horison Bekasi Hotel is adjacent to the large shopping centre.


- Revo Town


Another great shopping mall to visit in Bekasi is Revo Town. Open from 10am until 10pm, visitors can go do some shopping, watch a movie and grab a bite to eat.


Transportation in Bekasi

Becak (tricycle) is the most favoured way of getting around Bekasi, while solo travellers find the ojek (motorcycle) most convenient. Kuasi (small vans) also circle around the city, though there are no fixed stops along the way. There is also an abundance of taxis available; these can be found at shopping malls and outside many Bekasi hotels. Getting to Bekasi is also quite easy, as buses regularly travel between the city and Jakarta, as do economy trains.
