The staff offered happy, friendly service. Ideal for couples and business travellers.

What a find! Loved this place from the moment we clapped eyes on it. Positioned right at the entry to restaurant row Oxford Street, the theme is definitely in keeping with the mammoth impact and relevance of the Titanic to Southampton but without any cringey cheesyness that one might fear in a themed setting. Lovely staff are welcoming and helpful, room utterly delightful, and the breakfast was truly THE best we’ve had at any stay in the UK. Thank you for having us (at such short notice!).

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Newport
Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Newport is during January, February, and December, when hotel prices are notably lower. To fully experience the city's historical landmarks, cultural sites, and natural beauty, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. During your budget-friendly trip, you can explore captivating attractions such as picturesque islands, historic castles, impressive monuments, and charming gardens. You'll also have the opportunity to engage with friendly locals and enjoy activities like windsurfing, all while making the most of your money. Keep an eye out, as prices may drop further, making this an even more attractive option for those on a budget.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Newport, visit the Deals or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates on hotels as your travel date approaches. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you could stay informed about flash sales and special last-minute promotions, ensuring you don't miss opportunities for cheap hotels. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you find the best hotel deal. With these resources, you’re more likely to be among the first to know if prices drop or rooms become available.
Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so having some flexibility with your dates could help you save on your stay in a Newport hotel. For those seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we’ll suggest alternative dates that could potentially be more affordable, helping you find the best deal.
Consider your location: Staying nearer to key attractions or city centres can offer convenience, but it often tends to come with higher costs. For more budget-friendly options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and accessibility to your intended destinations. You might also look into independent hotels further out, which are more likely to provide a more authentic and cost-effective experience.
