"Room was clean and well appointed. Staff were very helpful. We booked mainly for its location close to the ferry port. Secure parking was a must for a fully loaded car after a long stay in Spain. The food in the restaurant was basic but very good. Maria who served us was by herself, but did a great job in dealing with a busy restaurant. I would recommend this hotel for the reason we chose it."

"The hotel is one of the very best I have stayed in. It is run with a great pride in service and attention to details. It is extremely friendly. The accommodation is dog friendly. The decor is beautiful set in its own private garden and just a couple of hundred metres from the beach front. Loved it."

"Atmospheric quirky hotel. Retains convent feel. Nice staff; good restaurant at night. Note it doesn’t do breakfast but good cafe nearby. No reception before noon. Good base for Bilbao - on commuter line to central station , one hour trip with regular trains ."

"I love this hotel, we visit every year. It is very relaxing, the pools are great and the indoor thermal pool is amazing. Spa service is very good also. Food is fantastic, staff are very professional and friendly. The service in the bar/cafe can be very slow. The bedrooms are very old and really need to be renovated, they smell of damp and are very dusty. It is a shame as the rest of the hotel is absolutely lovely."
