Hotels in Torricella Verzate

This place is a gem. A bit hard to get to, the road is narrow and bad, but well worth the trip! As its name suggests it is right among the vinyards with views to rival Tuscany. The hotel is lovely, my stay was late in the season but it is obvious how pleasant it would be in summer with the wonderful terrace and the large pool open. My room was elegant, with a rustic touch. This hotel is located in the historic area of Pavia close to the main square and good restaurants. While we booked a hotel room, our accomodation was actually a 2 bedroom apartment 2 doors down from the hotel proper. The apartment was well appointed and secure. Parking was off site - secure and very cheap. Breakfast was included in our room rate and served in the small foyer of the hotel. This is what I would describe a 'boutique hotel' - just a few rooms and a small but very friendly staff.

We spent one night at Cascina Scova Resort whilst travelling to Tuscany. We wish we had have had time to stay more. The resort is set in beautiful gardens, with two swimming pools and an outdoor cafe. There is a restaurant but it was closed on Sunday (the night we were there). The staff were very friendly.
