Exploring Buddha Mountain

In 1996, the image of Buddha was engraved into the northern face of Khao Chi Chan to commmorate His Majesty the King of Thailand’s golden jubilee. This 109 metre tall and 70 meter wide image was carved into the rock and then marked out in gold. The surrounding area is very beautiful and there is a temple on the grounds in front of Buddha Mountain. Visitors will often see monks at this temple, so it is recommended to use appropriate clothing to visit this attraction.
