"I have stayed here previously when it was self check in. Now they have 24 hour service. I found check in and luggage storage very easy as I was early. And then I had a very pleasant room upgrade with a spectacular view of river. A nice touch was the selection of juice and pop in the fridge. And having a fan in the room was excellent.
Very happy to stay and come back"

Had a wonderful two day stay at this elegant and classically European hotel. Extremely beautiful architecture and interiors. Chandeliers are specataculat. Rooms were a good size with lots of closet space and gorgeous marble bathroom with all the modern amenities. Location is right in the Old Town of Basel and overlooks the Rhine. Had great sundowners at their terrace bar and a wonderful dinner at Cheval Blanc. And despite the superior five star service, the hotel had personal touches such as...

Not going to lie it was difficult to find and 3pm check in is to late, they let me check in early but if they hadn't it would have ruined my trip, found it hard to heat the place up!

Whilst it took a couple of drive-bys to realise that the building that we were looking at was the hotel, as the signage is black writing on black glass, we were very happy with Hotel D. The rooms are spacious and very modern and the staff were very helpful.
The hotel have us a tram pass for the length of our stay in Basel and considering that the tram stops are a minute's walk away, it's a great way to see a bit more of Basel than going by foot. That said, all the old town and the main...

Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The staff are all very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The room was cosy with a cool fit out and interesting items. We did have noise problems being next to the lift and the restaurant/bar playing loud music under us until late. The staff did an amazing job relocating us to a quieter room (even when it was fully booked out) and made sure we were happy.
