"The room was warm and clean. We have stayed there before on the way to Calais. It is very well situated, just 5 minutes walk to the centre and only 10 minutes from the motorway. The room was large with some cooking facilities, coffee machine, kettle etc. Bathroom was clean, great bath and shower."

"We were a bit confused initially when we arrived in an out of town shopping zone. The hotel facilities were excellent but I felt that the staff were keen for us to finish our lovely meal. We had arrived in the restaurant at 20.30 and had been reassured that we were welcome. Maybe I've misread things but I did get a vibe that staff would prefer if we finished sooner rather than later."

Along with some places in Normandy, Bethune is the friendliest place that my Friends and I have found in France. Very good breakfast and nice Lady on reception - plus Thomas the cat. We also enjoyed a nice bottle of fizz in the pleasant garden."
