1. Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Markham is during January, February, and December, when hotel prices are generally lower. For those looking to explore the city's rich history and cultural landmarks, a stay of at least 3 days is recommended. This duration allows visitors to fully appreciate the local attractions, such as historical sites, charming churches, and family-friendly festivals. Markham offers great value for money, making it an excellent choice for travellers on a budget who wish to enjoy dining, shopping, and engaging with friendly locals. With the potential for prices to drop during these months, it’s a perfect opportunity for a memorable getaway.
2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals for hotels in Markham, begin by exploring the Deals or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates as your travel date approaches. Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay informed about flash sales and special promotions, which could help you secure the best hotel deal. The Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare room rates and amenities, ensuring you have the best options at your fingertips. You'll be among the first to know if prices drop or new rooms become available, making your last-minute getaway even more accessible.
3. Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate based on various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates may help you save on your stay at a hotel in Markham. For those seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and may offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we’ll recommend alternative dates that could be more affordable, helping you find a better deal.
4. Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre generally tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Markham's superb public transport links, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further out that remains well connected.
