"It is an older motel but amazingly maintained. Room was super clean and the ladies on the front desk were so friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our car here and walked to Venice Beach and to the Santa Monica Pier. We would definitely come back."

"VB is a hidden gem, a classic California motor court lovingly updated and transformed into a tropical escape. Rooms are small but spotlessly clean; ours had a kitchenette, new mini-split A/C and wall-mounted heater. Unexpected amenities included free water and name-brand sodas in the fridge, along with several fresh apples! Much nicer towels than we've had in similarly priced chains. The area was much quieter than expected on a Friday night. We didn't have the opportunity to try their café but...
