- National Museum

Located just north of Kuala Lumpur's transport hub—KL Sentral, you will find the National Museum of Malaysia. This cultural institution provides a good insight into the history and heritage of this Southeast Asian nation. The main building of the museum is impressive. It echoes architectural styles from the Minangkabau people. Within the museum's collection, visitors will find musical instruments, various arts and crafts, religious statues, traditional weapons and architectural replicas.

- Perdana Botanical Garden

Right next to the National Museum of Malaysia is the Perdana Lake Gardens. Covering about 90 hectares, the park is a great place to get away from the very busy city centre. Aside from the lovely areas around the lake, there are various attractions here, like the Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park and the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park.

Transportation in Bangsar

Kuala Lumpur has a comprehensive public transport system. Bangsar has a dedicated LRT station along the Kelana Jaya line. From Bangsar station, you can hop aboard a Rapid KL bus to Bangsar Baru. If you are heading to Midvalley from Kuala Lumpur city centre, you can get on a KTM Komuter train and get off at Midvalley's own Komuter station. Regular buses ply routes from Kuala Lumpur city centre to Bangsar.
