Rhodes Hotels

Stretch out on loungers as you soak up the Greek sun, dine on hummus and falafel in authentic tavernas, and stay out late to the beat of rowdy pop music as popular nightclubs throw their doors wide to welcome the setting of the sun. Here, on the island of Rhodes, life is about enjoying yourself. Rambling cobbled streets of iconic historical towns lead to golden sandy beaches and crystal clear seas. Ruined temples and ancient villas welcome thronging tourists to wander through pillared courtyards, and exclusive spas offer decadent relaxation with impressive ocean views.

Things to see

Elli Beach sits at the northernmost point of Rhodes, a popular stretch of soft golden sand just minutes out of the winding, narrow streets of Rhodes Town. Sunbathers stretch out on weathered loungers dotted here and there, while waiters from waterfront cafés serve cool glasses of freshly squeezed juice and ice cold beers. Just off shore, a towering diving platform dominates the view, challenging swimmers to plunge off its highest point into the crystal clear waters below. Further round the coastline, at Faliraki Beach, the sand is barely visible beneath an army of blue sun parasols. It’s a wide beach, busy during the day with relaxing sun worshipers and empty at night when pubs and clubs open their doors with flashing neon lights and raucous chart music. Not far from its golden sands, the Faliraki Water Park is an exciting maze of twisting pipes and turning flumes, where screaming tourists plunge into foaming pools of water, or cool down in splash zones that are perfect for even the smallest guest.

Hotels in Rhodes

Through the ages, the Greeks have been renowned for their love of healing waters, from bubbling mineral springs, to therapeutic thalassic pools. Luxury hotels in Rhodes offer a taste of this decadent lifestyle, with spa therapies and exclusive wellness clubs offering relaxing massage treatments and tempting health breaks. Rooms in these élite resorts are sumptuously decorated, providing luxury bathrooms, satellite televisions, and WiFi. Mid-range complexes still have a great standard of accommodation, and typically you’ll have a sparkling outdoor pool, complimentary breakfast, and satellite television to enjoy. The good thing about Rhodes is its popularity as a holiday destination, which ensures even budget travelers don’t have to fork out a fortune to stay here. Cozy bed and breakfasts and hospitable hostels are always a popular choice.

Where to stay

Hotels in Rhodes Town put you in the heart of this bustling, historic city. Towering stone walls built to keep invaders at bay are now a popular tourist attraction and the protected harbor is overlooked by an austere castle with solid battlements and imposing turrets. Inside its streets you’ll come across pretty plazas where bubbling fountains make a beautiful centerpiece. Relax at an al fresco café, sampling traditional Meze and indulging in local wine, before exploring interesting pottery shops and exciting designer boutiques. For those seeking a 24-hour party resort, Faliraki's bars and clubs won't disappoint.

How to get to Rhodes

If you’re flying to Rhodes, you’ll land at Rhodes International Airport, a modern and well-serviced airfield on the north of the island. Bus companies run regular shuttles to the island’s most popular tourist destinations, including Rhodes Town and Faliraki, while upmarket hotels often have their own door-to-door service for guests. In the unlikely event you’re staying somewhere that’s not serviced by a bus route, taxis can be caught at the station, although pre-booking often brings the price right down.
