"Everything about the Crown Plaza was great, except the suite I was in had an ant issue in the bathroom. When I brought it to the attention of the front desk, they were willing to live me to another room, but I declined. I went to the closest Home Depot, bought a can of ant spray and problem was taken care of, till the end of my stay.
The room was booked through Expedia.
I did have a problem when booking an extra day’s stay, as I would have to go through Expedia, which called the hotel and said I have the extension , however Expedia did not give me a confirmation number, which I didn’t know I needed till I went back to the front desk.
The front desk did extend my stay, but not at the Expedia rate, because they didn’t have a confirmation number, so at that point I paid the regular room rate, because I didn’t need the extra stress of going back and forth with Expedia.
What would be helpful would be, if your people could get a hold of Expedia and tell them that they need to get a confirmation number for your guest to give your hotel employees at the front desk and relieve the stress on your guest. This fault issue was on Expedia, also when I booked the room, I filled out the name of the guest that was with me and when I got to the hotel, the guest name came up as the person booking the room, which I was told couldn’t be changed by the hotel as the room was booked through Expedia.This could have been an issue if the room was booked as a business trip. Another Expedia glitch."
