The Benson Portland, Curio Collection by Hilton

The Benson Portland, Curio Collection by Hilton

6/10 Okay
"It’s an old hotel that just had another facelift inside. Footprint lay out of the rooms no soaking tub. Period in my opinion the property was far more prestigious when Westin was running it. Key lock on the refrigerator? No it’s not a mini bar, but there was no key in the lock. That’s the leftovers. My wife and I had and a few dessert cheesecakes had no refrigeration. A half hour later after I called the front desk asking for a key that should’ve been there in the lock on the fridge. I replied back down to the front desk to forget it because we were going to bed. The staff is young inexperienced, naïve they like the seasoned prompt an intellectual staff at the previous owners had. Hopefully they don’t run it down the toilet."

Park Lane Suites and Inn

10/10 Excellent
"Our suite was very well equipped, and very comfortable. Well worth the small extra cost. Also, there’s an elevator in the suites building, and none in the 2-storey building that houses the regular rooms. The area is quieter than we expected, which was nice. There’s a lot within easy walking distance too. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. We’ll definitely stay here again. Only one note: there’s a steep hill from the parking lot to the lobby. If that’s a problem for you, I’d let them know in advance. There is limited parking at the very top, outside the door. "
