Exploring Times Square

If there had to be just one city known for its far-reaching influence, it would have to be The Big Apple, New York City. You will find it a challenge to develop itineraries, especially if they are only for a couple days, as there is just too much to see in this well-known city. Hotels near Times Square are definitely ideal if you like being where all the action takes place.

If there had to be two things to explore in New York, it would have to be the historic landmarks and the arts and culture. Whether it is the Statue of Liberty, Rockfeller Center Tour or a movie tour, you can be assured of an awe-inspiring time, especially if you’re a fan of movies made in the US.

Things to see

Some of the landmarks in New York are so embedded in history that as time go by, they get even more famous. These landmarks include the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Wall Street and National September 11 Memorial at the World Trade Center site. Hopping to and fro these spots promises an unforgettable time for anyone with a hint of interest in history and culture.

The tourist center of New York is none other than the famed Times Square, which is basically a street filled with bright, massive monitors and LED’s that run 24/7. Definitely a familiar sight in movies, Times Square also boasts themed restaurants, theaters and hotels owned by renowned brands of hospitality.

Where to stay

Looking to absorb as much of New York as possible in as short a time as possible? Then Times Square hotels would be great choices, with easy access to main attractions by foot. It is also here that you will find diverse cultures, which mean a wide range of delectable restaurants. Accommodation options are mainly hotels with a few hostels, with decent rooms and excellent accessibility.

Another borough to explore is Brooklyn, with several opportunities for sightseeing, restaurants, and nightlife. The lodging here includes inns and B&B’s with decent rooms and food but if you’re looking for state of the art amenities, then luxurious hotels would be the way to go. Brooklyn also serves as a gateway to other boroughs like Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island.
