"It was a strange place. It was run out of another hotel next door. The old reception area was very dated. Strange tile on the floor and wall. Hall smelled and a couple pieces of garbage outside of a room. My room was clean but the pillows were a joke. They were the size of sofa pillows. I used one from my car instead. I think I was the only one in the building, they had a lot of cancellations from the tropical storm off the east coast. It felt odd to say the least but they can’t control the...

"Room had a musty and moldy smell. No AC was running to dry out room. The TV did not work, saying searching for signal. The refrigerator was off. Bed was just ok. Breakfast was very good. This was for a one night stay."

"The staff was as amazing as the lodge and grounds. Great weekend get away to watch Louisville Football at Virginia Tech. They even shuttled us to and from the game. The Tavern Lodge Bar was excellent as was Harvest the restaurant."

"We stayed with our dog. We were near a side door with a nice, large grassy area for him. When we checked in the very friendly lady gave us an envelope just for pet parents that had a lot of info about pet friendly places nearby, that was a nice touch. "
