"First time staying in the mountains in a cottage! Did not dissapoint! The ease of check in all by text! very friendly and helpful! Cottage was great! Everything you need (kitchenette, utensils, dishes) charcoal grill in front no stove. Make sure to bring beverages and food to grill! Pool and recreation area was very nice! Clubhouse has games and tv! I will definitely be back!"

"Check in was great. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and well maintained. Bathroom was clean and well stocked. Though the bed was a bit lumpy, the sheets were clean and we slept well. The continental breakfast was convenient and the coffee was great! Check out was just as pleasant as check in. We will definitely stay here again. "

"Stayed here overnight to go to an Ironstone Winery concert in Murphys. Clean, comfy, and very nostalgic of the gold rush era. Cute rooms with AC that works okay-ish. Nice pool! Super lovely staff that runs this historic landmark hotel, which is conveniently located within short walking distance to nice eateries and restaurants, as well as adorable shops in Sonora"

"The community of people in the area are very friendly, it was safe and a quiet place to sleep. Local food spots were close by and areas we visited where only 30mins away. Perfect place for our small family to stay. "

"It was a roof to sleep under that is all. Close to Dodge Ridge Resort. The noisiest heater we have seen in our entire life. We had to choose between sleeping Vs being cold. I would recommend the owners to invest into a decent centralized HVAC system rather having those horrible individual heaters running the room. Turns out some rooms have an "attick ceiling" which we were lucky to get, and my husband and I kept bumping our heads against it when reaching for nightstand. Overall cleanliness...

"Amazing, specially prepared gourmet breakfasts by the host. Very fun to sit at breakfast table with other guests. The breakfast is served at 9 am so you can't just grab it and go if you're there for sightseeing. But the food is wonderful! Interesting history behind the house which the host shares. Beautiful rooms."
