"A beautiful spot in a lovely village. We only wish we had stayed longer. Beds and rooms are spacious well lit and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful with delicious fresh food with coffee and fresh orange juice. It’s the same every day so if you like variety best be prepared to cook in your room or walk. Easy but somewhat hilly walk to the main square, full of vibrant tavernas with good food. Excellent friendly service from the staff. "

"Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. "

"The house was a lovely old Cretan house renovated to a high standard, and Popi was a wonderful, helpful, and knowledgeable host - really friendly and full of suggestions of where to go next. You will need to have a car to get around as it is not at all central, and do not expect a modern building - but it was full of character and the aircon worked very well, so in my eyes it was perfect! I would happily stay here again, and hope to do so some day in the coming years."

"We want a holiday to bring 3 family generations to stay under one roof for family time and relaxation, and the villa fits the bill perfectly. The villa is beautifully designed and furnished. Owners of the villa is extremely helpful and friendly, just like an old family friend welcoming us into their home: anything you need or want to ask, just shout over the fence, she is there! "This was a quaint comfy stay! The owner has put a lot of love and attention into the property, and it was really cool to see what it was before she did all the work. She did a great job fixing it up! The breakfast is delicious and very generous! The only minor thing was there wasn’t any WiFi. It is a somewhat remote location so that’s understandable. Overall a great stay and if you’re looking for an authentic Greek experience this is it! "

"Had an amazing weekend at Palmera! Check in staff was kind and efficient. The bar staff was not attentive, I was often ignored but it didn’t bother me too much as I wasn’t in a hurry. Unfortunately, there were many extra charges and add ons that I was not made aware of. Many guests and I complained about the fact that we paid for all inclusive, yet most things were not included. "Fantastic family holiday at Lyttos Beach We had a wonderful stay at Lyttos Beach. The hotel has excellent facilities, and the staff truly go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. While it’s not a luxury resort, it’s absolutely perfect for families looking for plenty to do on vacation. The sports facilities at the Lyttos Beach Sports Centre are world-class, and there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The hotel was spotless throughout, and every member of staff we encountered was friendly, helpful, and clearly worked very hard to keep everything running smoothly. We would definitely return and highly recommend it to families looking for an active, fun-filled holiday."
