"The hotel is an excellent place to stay. The hotel itself is not special or fancy, but it is well-run, clean, and located in the center of Solo. The breakfast buffet is excellent, the restaurant is good, and the hotel also has a nice cafe with an outside seating area. They featured life music at the cafe on weekend evenings. We saw no other foreign guests, which we saw as a plus. Many staff members speak good English."

"Property is off the main road, but close to local food favorites (serabi notosuman, sosis Solo) also 4 minute walk to a batik store. Lobby is small and tight parking is available. Rooms are spacious and stylishly decorated. Very pleased with stay. One down side, there were people swimming past midnight the first night of our stay. Some rooms were noisy with children crying before we entered our room so I was little worried about the quietness in my room. But when I entered the room, I didn't really hear them. The reason I didn't give 5 star for cleanness is that plates and glasses from breakfast were not clean especially glasses for cold drinks. "The room and bed were big and comfortable, but no fridge and no safebox. Breakfast was really good, though. The hotel is very close to the Balapan train station, which is nice. It’s a decent budget place, but what makes me unable to recommend is because how dangerous the roads are around the hotel. I stay at places all over SE Asia, so I’m totally used to the motorbike madness. This place, though . . . It takes the cake."
