"The JAL hotel is wonderfully located in Nagano city, only a few blocks walk to the train station. A full and large Breakfast is available everyday on the top floor for amazing views of the surrounding mountains. Rooms are quite spacious. There are many restaurants in the nearby area to choose from every night. Nagano is a wonderful city to visit in Japan as it’s much less crowded than places like Tokyo or Osaka. The direct bus to the snow monkeys from the station was a tremendous...

Breakfasts were excellent, the rooms were large by ryokan standards and very clean. The Hanabun is a vintage gem tucked deep in the Myoko Mountains. "
