"The smart hotel was an excellent base to explore Rome. There is a shuttle bus service from the airport to the town on Ciampino which takes 5 mins and costs 1euro20. The train station is a 2 min walk from the hotel and frequent trains get you to Rome central in 15 mins for 1euro50. The town of Ciampino is a good base with a nice restaurant called Rosmarino and a great cafe that does decent breakfasts called Norcineria at good prices. "We stayed for one night only and booked this hotel for an overnight stay due to its proximity to Ciampino airport which was a 10 minute taxi drive away. Prior to travelling they were excellent in providing information on travel arrangements. The hotel is a traditional Italian provincial hostelry located in a semi rural area.
