"Yumotoya is a little long in the tooth, but still a lovely and comfortable place to lay your head. Staff was helpful and friendly, and the facility is kept clean and tidy, even if it is getting a little old (although we found the Showa Era charm to be part of the appeal). The private Onsen was wonderful, and offers views of the surrounding city and mountains."

"Absolutely amazing experience. The room had a Onsen bath on the balcony overlooking the lake. The service included dinner and breakfast in a private room with amazing local food and a lovely waitress who spoke decent English and explained every dish to us. There is also a lovely open rooftop Onsen. The room is large and very comfortable like an apartment. All of the staff were amazing. Fantastic "

"Hotel’s onsen as shown in the website pictures are for members only. Only basic dormitory style rooms were offered with public bath which had water pressure problem that 2 cannot wash at the same time. The bath uses regular, non-hot spring water which only open from 800-2000. No hot water in the dormitory bathrooms. Hotel is well equipped with gym and game room however for members only. Wish more clarification on the booking sites for this. "
