"We were pleasantly surprised when we stepped inside our room. We knew when we booked that it was a cheaper motel, but the room was spotlessly clean with crips linen and very comfortable bed and pillows. The bathroom was spotless also and renovated. The air con was running waiting for us and we had a choice of coffees and a good pod machine. Check in was easy and We had a very comfortable overnight stay and were very happy with the price. We would be happy to return. Great value!"

"We took room with an ensuite. While they're very small, it does the job. There is no a/C which we knew about, but thankfully it was a cool night or it'd be very hot. Winter has heating. Now, if you can sleep through trains, yep more than one at night, then definitely stay here. It's a great old style Scottish themed pub, yes it's creaky and like a rabbit warren finding rooms (not that hard, good signage) and the food was very good. Great price and worth the visit."

"This was a last minute booking and the staff were excellent, from check-in to dinning to check-out. It’s a very cute place, worthy of many photos. The food at the restaurant was great, it was hard to decide what to eat, but I had the prawn pasta. Parking was easy at the back of the property, however if you’re not comfortable walking under the light of the moon, get dropped off at the front for check in. "

"Such a lovely stay. It's tucked away in a wonderful location with a wonderful pub, The Friendly Inn, across the road. Breakfast was lovely, the rooms are awesome, the shower was fantastic. I'll be going back! "

"The room was very clean however there was a lack of attention to detail in other areas. Eg we were given the wrong room and had to explain to reception the room we had booked wasn’t the one allocated, we didn’t get our water or biscuits replaced after housekeeping had been through and we found a used face washer in the shower. Small things but for the price we paid we expected more."
