"quite a long walk from train station ( 1 km) no taxis! but pretty well the closest. bar is also reception (which was great as I was desperate for a beer after bus substituted for train! efficient small lift, comfortable room with large comfy bed & plenty of electric plugs. quiet in room despite it being a Saturday, although restaurant full with waiting list. great well priced Italian meal (despite being promoted as Sushi - which was available -after a fashion)! slept well. "Staff were helpful and friendly, we used Google translate a lot. 10 minutes from Colico by Taxi (don't rely on the bus), where you can get the hydrofoil to other areas around Lake Como. Fantastic underground parking. The food in the restaurant was lovely and great service."

"We loved our four-night stay at B&B Al Carotin. Julio is super friendly and always at hand. The property has balconies overlooking the valley and mountains, and it was so relaxing just to sit out on the balcony, drink in the views, and let your shoulders drop. We took a day trip to Tirano and took the train up to Switzerland, which is the same line as the Bernina Express. We had a couple of very enjoyable days by the lake. We'd love to come back."

"Best Hotel we saw online at the beginning of lake Como/Colico. Our choice was def the right one. When we met Barbara it wad clear she renovated the Rooms cause unlike many italian Hotels the were the perfect Mix or italian style mixed with modern elements. Too bad her restsursnt was closed. Will be back to try the food there.. She was also very helpfull with all our requests/questions.."
