"Nice place to stay for a fire days"

"Good heat in the room. Rooms were clean,there was a mini fridge,safe in the closet,coffee maker with reg and decafe provided. It was a quick walk to and from the trainstation,and a Jumbo grocery store a few blocks away. Several restaurant options close by,as well as many shops. Daily maid service and on site reataurant and fitness facility. I really enjoyed Alkmaar and my stay at Hotel Amranth."

"The staff and the restaurant are great. The ambience is always good and the quirkiness of the former prison is fun to stay in. On the negative side, the room has not a single hook or hanger for a towel, the towels are too small and the toilet paper seems like genuine prison standard"

"This was my husband and I’s first trip visiting the Netherlands with our family of four boys! We absolutely loved the peaceful environment, the quiet, late night walks around the water and the central playground! Dinner was delicious at the local restaurant and they worked out our dietary needs of Gluten/Dairy free allergies with ease! Wished we could stay longer!"

"Great location in center of Alkmaar! Shops & restaurants right outside the door. The hotel is beautiful and our room was great. The lofted room would not work well for someone with mobility challenges but worked well for us. Very responsive communication from the hotel! Would happily stay there again. "

"Sehr schön gelegenes Hotel mit historischem Charme. Wunderbar sonnige Terrasse mit schönem Blick zum Meer. Ruhig gelegen in/bei den Dünen. Ein kleiner netter Spaziergang und man ist am Strand. Sehr freundliches Personal. Ich hatte ein nettes Zimmer in dem ich mich sehr wohl gefühlt habe. Angenehme Frühstücksatmosphäre. Ich habe nichts vermisst. Ich war bereits mehrmals in Bergen aan Zee. Hier hat es mir sehr gut gefallen und ich komme mit Sicherheit wieder. "

"A bit suprised at checking in, but the manager was very kind to make instructions to get a card key. Very close to the UK ferry terminal and good access to the north and south dunes. I enjoyed staying and very much relaxed. "
