"My opinion about the bar the music was too loud at the poolside but otherwise everything was okay. The food was good expensive but everything was clean and ambience was good. "
S Hotel Montego Bay - Luxury Boutique All Inclusive Hotel
8/10 Good
"The room and the view makes it worth it! You must see the sunset on the rooftop and they have the best beach clean however it is by a public beach which can get really loud and busy. Food was okay just very limited options and sadly the jerk hut near pool not so good food. Pool was nice never to busy, rooftop pool very small. No real daily activities so can make the day feel a little flat. Tried the spa half the packages are out so you can’t actually use those other pools. Near the hip strip so lots of things you can get to pretty fast. Overall the hotel is pretty underwhelming but I would go back just maybe with a partner not with family. "
Azul Beach Resort Negril, Gourmet All Inclusive by Karisma
8/10 Good
"My family found Azul to be a beautiful resort in a fantastic location in Negril. The beach is calm and warm- just steps from hotel rooms. All the staff was excellent during every encounter- kind, polite, friendly, & helpful. There may have been 1 or 2 times a server was quiet/aloof but never rude. Tipping 1-2 dollars per service was very common here but servers were thankful and didn't automatically expect it. The rooms were quite comfortable and any signs of being outdated were minimal. The beds were great and the whole resort was very clean at all times. The shower was spacious but water pressure and temp would fluctuate from warmish to hot to cold and would turn to a literal trickle for 5 seconds before returning to normal. This occurred all week, no matter the time of day- weird but tolerable. There is a lack of towels that was not addressed by management. If you leave dirty towels for housekeeping they are not replaced. There are no bath mats and you have to get up before 8:00am to get pool/beach towels. They do not get refilled for the rest of the day unless a beach attendant pities you or you gave them a good tip the day before. Bringing your own beach towels & floats is your best bet. If you want a cabana/bed or even chairs, you have to save them before 7:00am. The food was nothing special. There was plenty to eat but the buffets were boring. The coffee bar was great. Overall it was a wonderful trip, but you should know it's not quite 5-star excellence..."
"Solo traveler. Stayed 10 days. Room was large just no balcony or really any windows to look out. Rooms are dated but clean as with anywhere you stay. Only problem was door had a small opening under it & after the rain shower bugs would get in didn’t like that at all. I thought food was great along with service. Everyone was very friendly & helpful. Beauitful beach across street Doctors cove but small free to get in from hotel included a daily pass. I didn’t like having to pay $14 a day for chair & umbrella gets pricy when cruise ships came in the beach was packed. Met a lot of nice people & would stay again if I were to go back to Montago bay."
"Excellent staff who were courteous and provided grear customer service. Breakfast was good with options for Jamaican or American breakfast prepared fresh and hot. I would stay here again and recommend for anyoje looking a great location close to Doctor's Cave beach, shopping, food, and other amenities. "
"So the hotel itself was “ok”. However, the pool closed early (5:30) and they have “limited” activities so you have to spend more money to go somewhere to do things…for that stay at a better hotel. The staff was friendly though"
