The Lake Hotel was just gorgeous and offered attentive staff, excellent amenities and views to die for. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the thermal suite after travelling from Australia and a week of performances at the Cork Choral Festival. The whole visit was exactly what we needed. Coming to stay overnight was a gift to myself for my 60th birthday recently, the chocolates and gift of a picture of the view from the Hotel towards the lake in our room on arrival were much appreciated 🙌 ❤️

Generous sized rooms, great pool and gym. Close to centre of town. Parking under hotel. We had a great time, would come back here in the future. Really nice location.

We booked two nights at The Alex after a month of touring around Europe, as our return flights to Australia were booked from Dublin.
I was impressed the moment we walked in the door, we were given a warm welcome by Simon at reception - which was very pleasant and appreciated, especially having just arrived from Spain where we had endured quite a bit of bad service to put it kindly. The hospitality remained consistently fantastic during our entire stay - I must commend the professionalism and...

I was delighted by the care and generosity that the castle staff gave to one of our friends (their child has cancer) that we organised the stay for. Very appreciative. Ern Green, So Much More

From the moment we arrived we were impressed with the high quality of the hotel and services - a warm welcome at reception, being presented with hot refresher towels, a porter for our luggage, and valet parking. The accommodation and facilities were superb. Our room was spacious, lavishly furnished, with a beautiful lounge suite and the bathroom was huge, very modern, with a large spa bath and double sink vanities. Dining options were an elegant a la carte restaurant or a more casual Irish pub...

It was lovely to return to the Ballymascanion after two years and great to see Niall and Luke working as hard as ever, but still having the time to make their customers feel welcome and special. The hotel is very special and has a great history and reputation. It’s not just for golfers. Everyone from local and abroad are made welcome.
Thank you from Julie and Lindsay Perth Western Australia
