Great location right on the beach with spacious rooms and facilities. My only issue was the occupants of the room above us moved furniture some mornings, noise came through. Still, would visit again without hesitation. Warm and friendly staff, very clean, on the beach and spacious facilities, what a great holiday.

At the tsunami alarm signal, they provided drinks, fruits, towels, anti-mosquito lotion and also dinner for us. I am highly appreciated to all of the staff. But the water supply in block 8 was suspended several times.
"Sunwing Bang Tao, great for families"

We stayed at the Sunwing Bang Tao in February 2012. This hotel is perfect for families. We went with our 18month old and she had a great time. Hotel on the beach, which is clean and the sea is warm, calm and not deep. The facilities for children were fantastic, two big family pools plus two paddling pools, miniland with art and craft activiites and a playground and childrens entertainment day and night. The childrens buffet made meal times easy. Rooms were a little small but had good fascilities including a fridge and microwave . Hotel is perfect for people wanting a week away doing nothing but staying in the resort and playing with their chilidren in the pool and sea. Will definately be going back.

A nice and clean hotel conveniently located at Bangtao beach with easy access to Surin Beach as well as to Bangtao beach. Everything was efficient and easy at this Best Western place. A good 4 star hotel

We were very happy with this resort. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the place is well set out with plenty of restaurants. Yes they are a bit expensive but it is a five star resort so is what you would expect.
Our daughter who is six loved the kids pool, was great for parents too! Jumbo the elephant came by every day which was great. Got to feed him bananas.

... Some may say the location of the DEWA isn't so handy to things ... I found it perfect ... my room was totally gorgeous with a plunge pool and a nice bit of lawn and planting .
My first morning on a walk along the beach I was slightly horrified by the rubbish and tried in vain to pick some up but in minutes had filled a large bag ... however the next day it was perfect ... it seems the locals and hotels nearby have regular clean ups which is encouraging as it's huge problem.
The beach front road is really interesting with an eclectic mix of shops and restaurants and little beach front barbeque cafes.
If you want a great shirt made ... either take or buy 3 meters of fabric and go see handsome Sam at Indigo Tailors.
Breakfast at The Dewa was good for me ... perfect boiled eggs , great fruit and six different breads.
Absolutely sweet and helpful and professional staff at The Dewa and if you need a Patong experience ... just go for the day and evening .. see part of the island while getting there and then back to hotel heaven .
The Dewa is 4 star going on 5 ... loved it . JG
